The Future of Invisible Orthodontics Debuts in Milan with Smart Aligner Services

Milan became the stage for Smart Aligner Services (SAS) to take its first step outside Spain. Over two intensive days, more than a hundred specialists in invisible orthodontics gathered at the Meliá Milano Hotel, proving that the Spanish company’s educational model resonates well beyond its home country.

Italy, a new starting point

After filling venues in Madrid and Mallorca, SAS decided to bring its expertise to Italy. Expectations were high: could the company recreate abroad the energy and sense of community that define its congresses in Spain? Judging by the packed sessions and enthusiastic atmosphere, the answer was a resounding yes.

Presentations focused on the future

The program opened with Matteo Reverdito and Eliana Alemanno, who presented an integrated digital orthodontics model for early treatment. They were followed by Giorgio Comola and Pablo Lirio, who explored modern strategies for growing patients, highlighting the combination of aligners, MA, and elastics.

The first day continued with Ana Acedo, who shared insights on expansion with aligners in mixed dentition, and concluded with Riccardo Capuozzo’s clinical case presentations, sparking lively debate among participants.

On the second day, Lorenzo Bartolommei outlined protocols for mandibular advancement with blocks, while Andrea Conigliaro discussed the clinical applications of wings, rounding out the congress with practical approaches to skeletal advancement devices.

Building an international community

What impressed attendees most was not only the academic level of the sessions but also the sense of community SAS fostered. Many professionals valued the chance to finally meet European colleagues in person, after years of connecting only through social networks. Informal conversations during breaks and social activities became a key part of the experience.

A debut that felt like anything but a first

Despite being its first international congress, SAS delivered an organization that felt polished and professional. Attendees highlighted the high-quality content and the close interaction with speakers as decisive factors for the event’s success.

Milan confirmed that interest in invisible orthodontics is growing across borders—and that SAS has positioned itself as a reference point capable of bringing professionals together. Far from being a one-off, this debut in Italy looks set to be the beginning of a broader international journey.
